It’s mine. All mine. 143,000 well cared for miles and drives like a dream.

The front seats are worn but they are still Volvo-comfortable. The A/C works, the radio works, and the sunroof works as well, which is a plus as none of those things worked in the TrailBlazer.

It’s very solid, which I love. The 2.3 liter 5-cylinder propels the front wheels with such poise and the handling is very precise. It’s not slow, either. It likes to go and go fast.

My father had a 2003 S60 T5 AWD and a 2008 S60 2.5T, so I remember riding in these cars when I was much younger. I loved how they rode then, and I love how they drive now.

I’m just really happy with the purchase.

Time for a hilariously loud BOV?

I was riding in a 2003 XC70 a couple weeks ago. It might’ve been the most comfortable thing I’ve ever sat in

Sadly no mods until next summer, but I would so do that just to piss off my mother.

My car just pisses off everyone, even some other enthusiasts.

It’s killer. My father’s XC90 I think was the best, much better than the X5 he drives now.

I want to put one on my XC90 for fun but don’t know where to install it

Oh, you just swap out the stock diverter valve for a BOV. Some engines like a certain amount diverted back, so a hybrid design would be ideal for fine tuning.

I was a passenger across Canada in one of those as a kid. Great cars. Congrats!

I’ve yet to ride in an XC90 or X5, but I don’t doubt that the Volvo is comfier. I’ve ridden in/driven a 740, 240, 140, and XC70s from 03 and 08, and they all had amazing seats. The only thing to come close was my friends E38 740i

I approve. If you ever plan on doing that trans-con road trip you speak of, I’ll be waiting in Raleigh.

Next summer I’ll probably be driving back to Ontario, but I’ll be sure to stop by Raleigh sometime in the next few years.

The best seats I have ever sat in were my V70, my dad’s Volvos, a Lexus LS430, and this one time I had the opportunity to ride shotgun in a Bentley Continental GT.

It’s a nice southern city. Lots of good BBQ, cars, and lakes.

Great choice! Glad you didn’t go for something to crazy. These were at the top of the list when I was looking for my car, but I could never manage to find a clean one less than 1+1/2 hours away.

This one was an hour and a half away, but we were attracted to it as it has all the records since new, and once we drove it we knew we couldn’t pass it up.

Just keep in mind that the 2001 has a pretty lousy track record for the autos. May want to flush the transmission fluid and check to see that the software has been updated .

It’s been maintained throughout its life and it received a flush two weeks ago.

Sounds good! I am in search of the same car, 2001-2002 manual or 2004+ I would take with an auto. Hope it’s good to you, they are dead simple to work on and with just a bit of work can be fast and fun.

Good luck with your search, and if you have any questions just let me know. Depending on where you live, these can be had for next to nothing. I like how straightforward they seem to be under the hood.

Thanks. I have had 2 1998 V70s (a GLT and T5 Manual) and know the engines well. The T5 was pushing about 300hp at the crank and had a bunch of mods. It was a very fun car. I sold it for the 2008 C30 I have now. Also a fun car with minor suspension mods and a tune.

Working on them is dead simple. And making good power is pretty easy. They sound good when opened up too. Good luck, sounds like you got a great one and the color is awesome.
